This linoleum flooring stands out due to its physical, technical and visual strengths. The flooring is a real all-rounder. In addition to its function as a special floor covering, the linoleum from Forbo is suitable for covering heavily frequented residential and commercial rooms as well as industrially used rooms (use classification 23, 34 and 43). With this wide range of suitability, Forbo Marmoleum Ohmex can be laid in living rooms, dining rooms and bedrooms as well as galleries, shops and many other rooms. However, the focus of this linoleum floor is on furnishing sensitive areas and thus its special flooring function. Whether in server rooms, rooms for medical diagnostics, intensive care units or production areas for electronic products: The 2.5 mm thick linoleum flooring is a helpful and preventive everyday partner in all these areas, which already has a dissipation resistance of less than 108 ohms when new.
The visual effect of special floor coverings is also important. In addition to its function, a linoleum should comply with optical principles and decorate a room. The linoleum floor in the Forbo Marmoleum Ohmex collection demonstrates just that: strength and design! With a simple marble design, the linoleum in this selection lends timeless chic to all your rooms. The design is based on that of marble and is made up of several coordinated colours. But it is the colouring that makes the linoleum flooring an attractive renovation partner. Available in beige, brown, grey and blue variations, there is a linoleum floor to suit every taste and interior. Choose your favourite colour now!
The linoleum of the Marmoleum Ohmex collection by the brand manufacturer Forbo is available in six attractive colours. Here, for example, you will find the Forbo Marmoleum Ohmex "73038 Caribbean" variant. This version is composed of beige and grey colours to create a harmonious overall look. Thanks to the simple colouring, this marble design is timelessly modern and thus fits into any interior design. To give your rooms a little more colour, on the other hand, you can go for the blue version Forbo Marmoleum Ohmex "73055 Fresco Blue". The blue linoleum version is made up of three matching shades of blue. The play with three shades of brightness creates a pleasant overall picture with which you can now decorate all your rooms.
Linoleum consists mainly of natural materials, such as linseed oil, cork flour and jute fabric. Linoleum flooring draws all its physical strength from these resources. In order to be able to use all its facets, however, the linoleum sheets must be glued to the subfloor to be covered over their entire surface. Only through the permanent bond between the subfloor and the linoleum covering can the full potential of linoleum be exploited. Although gluing is often considered one of the most difficult installation practices, it can be mastered by even amateur craftsmen with a little skill, time and know-how. The installation always follows the same three steps.
You can always rely on Forbo-Linoleum as your renovation partner, and above all, you can rely on it for the long term! Once laid, linoleum can withstand heavy loads for years, making even the more costly renovation practice of gluing it down worthwhile. Although the installation of glue-down flooring can involve a certain amount of extra work, it can be done by anyone with little know-how. In order to lay linoleum flooring for gluing, three basic work steps are required: preparation, laying and drying. The first preparatory step is to remove old flooring, dirt, grease and unevenness from the surface of the area to be renovated. Any unevenness, such as cracks, holes and the like, should be levelled out with the help of a commercial levelling compound, such as is available in DIY stores, in order to ensure the flatness of the floor covering. Then the linoleum sheets must be adapted to the existing room dimensions. In particular, cut-outs must be made for bay windows, heating pipes and the like so that nothing stands in the way of the final installation. Then the linoleum covering must be firmly bonded to the subfloor. For this step, the subfloor must first be provided with an even adhesive bed. The linoleum can then be laid in this bed. The individual strips must be laid end to end in the adhesive bed so that there are no gaps and no overlaps. As soon as the room is completely covered with the linoleum from the Forbo Marmoleum Ohmex collection, the adhesive bed only needs to harden so that the linoleum floor is firmly bonded to the subfloor.
The dissipative properties of this floor covering are supported by a large number of technical quality features. These product features include fire behaviour Bfl-s1, which makes the linoleum floor flame retardant and thus ensures safety. In addition, the linoleum flooring comes up trumps with qualities such as DS slip resistance, R9 slip resistance, type W chair castor suitability, ≥ 6 level light fastness and an approx. 5 dB impact sound improvement. With these and many other technical quality features, the linoleum is a stable, robust and reliable everyday partner.
